The Groundhog Anchor Support System Model #68 is a light-duty helical steel screw pile foundation used to support and\/or tie down structures such as decks, balconies, docks, landings, fences and pool frames to name a few. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Model #68 is 6 feet long, with an 8-inch helix 360\u00b0 welded to a 1.25″ hollow square shaft and is colour coded grey.<\/li>
  • 2000 lb. safe load per pile (1\/3 of actual fail point in medium to stiff soil conditions).<\/li>
  • Frost and heave resistant when properly installed.<\/li>
  • Can be installed manually using a mechanical installation wrench which entails users walking in a radial pattern around the anchor while it screws into the ground.<\/li>

        Model #68 Light\/Medium – 1 1\/4″ shaft – 8″ Flyte Series<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

        The Model #68 anchors provide ideal tie down support for job-site trailers, signs, temporary buildings or tents requiring 2000 lb tension safe load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Model #68 also provides an ideal foundation support for decking, carports, landings, stair stringers, pool frames, fences or septic tanks with compression safe loads of 2000lbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Model #68 is 6 feet long, with an 8-inch helix (8″ or full pitch) 360\u00b0 welded to a 1.25″ hollow square shaft and is colour coded grey. The 1.25″ shaft has a wall thickness of 0.125″ and has a 3\/4″ square nut welded to the top end which allows height adjustment using 3\/4″ Unified National Coarse zinc plated threaded rod.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Anchor #49, #89 and #129 Medium\/Heavy – 1 1\/2″ Shaft – 9″ Flyte Series<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

        Our most common anchor series; the Model #89 and Model #129 anchors are ideal for supporting decks, sunrooms, hot tubs, balconies, boathouses, docks, landings, outbuildings, cement pads and grade beams where compression safe loads of 3000 lb are required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The Model #49 provides ideal tie down support for job-site trailers, signs, temporary buildings or tents requiring 3000 lb tension safe load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The #89E anchor comes in 2 foot or 4 foot sections and is ideal for underpinning existing structures. The sectional application of this unit is installed in stages which makes installation under low existing structures possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This series features a 9-inch helix (9″ or full pitch) 360\u00b0 welded to a 1.5″ hollow square shaft and is colour coded black. The 1.5″ shaft has a wall thickness of 0.188″ and has a 7\/8″ square nut welded to the top end which allows height adjustment using 7\/8″ Unified National Coarse zinc plated threaded rod. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        This series features a 12-inch helix (6″ pitch or half pitch) 360\u00b0 welded to a 2″ hollow square shaft and is colour coded red.
